LFV Aviation Consulting and Knowledge Agency collaborate to promote the digitalisation of air traffic

LFV Aviation Consulting AB and Knowledge Agency Europe AB have signed a framework agreement to share resources and collaborate on international projects. Both parties look forward to strengthening the relationship between the two companies. The main focus of the collaboration is System Wide Information Management (SWIM).

The significance of SWIM for Air Traffic Management (ATM) cannot be overstated. With the ever-increasing complexity of air traffic and the growing demand for safer and more efficient operations, the implementation of SWIM is not just an advantage, but a regulatory requirement.

SWIM consists of standards, infrastructure, and governance that enable the management of Air Traffic Management and its exchange between qualified parties through interoperable services.

Driving innovation in air navigation services

“We are seeing a significant demand for expertise and services related to Air Traffic Management, particularly SWIM services, around the world. By collaborating with Knowledge Agency, we are together strengthening the Swedish presence in the global aviation market with a strong team of experts with key knowledge in SWIM,” says Maria Wall Petrini, CEO of LFV Aviation Consulting AB.

“The global market is recovering rapidly after Covid, and we see a growing need for modernisation and digitalisation of air traffic management to become more efficient, as well as to increase capacity and safety at and around airports. We look forward to working more closely with the team from LFV Aviation Consulting,” says Peter Olofsson, CEO of Knowledge Agency Europe AB.

The future of SWIM

“Providing the right information at the right time is crucial for improving decision-making processes, optimising resource use, and reducing potential risks. SWIM fosters a collaborative environment where stakeholders can seamlessly exchange critical data, thereby promoting a more flexible transport ecosystem,” says Peder Blomqvist, CIO and ‘Father of SWIM’ at Knowledge Agency Europe AB.
